The Best Practice Support database is intended to
provide a central point at which documents which can ultimately
be used to help create internationally accepted best practice
for CO2 capture and storage can be
collected. There is a pressing need to develop best practice
particularly for the storage element of CCS and already as
a result of demonstration projects and initiatives in the
CO2 trading area guidance and suggested
standards are starting to emerge. The EU has funded the CO2REMOVE
project which has as one of its objectives the development
of best practices and the CSLF is also working to promote
similar objectives around the world.
Initially the aim is to collect the most relevant documents
or information about those which are in process of being written.
Later it is the intention to identify material which should
be considered when writing definitive best practices but also
to identify the institutions which can best be responsible
for issuing best practices and standards for CCS. The site
will thus also act as a pointer to these organisations for
those with information to contribute to this process.
If you would like one of your papers added
to the database, please complete the proforma
